In the event the volume of dubious transactions of customers exceeds 500 million rubles for the last quarter before the assessment, the Central Bank of the Russian Federation will consider it a sign of the bank’s high involvement in such operations. This approach will be applied by the regulator in the evaluation of credit organizations for the results of the second quarter of 2021 and future periods.
Previously, the threshold amount was 1 billion rubles.
According to the Central Bank of the Russian Federation, the change will stimulate banks to more carefully identify and stop dubious (questionable) transactions (money transfers).
