The firm was fined for repeated attempts to bribe a customs officer
A commercial organization was fined 1 million rubles for violating anti-corruption legislation, the press service of the Far Eastern Transport Prosecutor\'s Office reported.
In the course of the audit, it was established that during the period from 2014 to 2015, the Deputy Director of the OOO “Airport Cargo” (LLC) repeatedly transferred bribes to the employee of the Birobidzhan Customs Office for agreeing to commit illegal actions (inaction) in favor of the legal entity under his control. However, the customs officer was incorruptible. He not only refused to take bribes, but also reported this to law enforcement agencies.
An administrative violation case was instituted against the offending company, on the basis of which the “Airport Cargo” was fined 1 million rubles. The criminal case against the organization is considered in court.
