The circular of the Rosselkhoznadzor (Russian Federal Agency for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Control) dated 14 July 2009 No. ФС-ГГВИ/7179 says:
Given the safety of the territory of Great Britain with respect to the avian influenza within a long period of time, the directive of Rosselkhoznadzor dated 5 February 2007 No. ФС-СД-2/983 regarding temporary restrictions on the import from said country into the Russian Federation of live poultry, hatching eggs, poultry meat, and all kinds of poultry products, feeds and supplement feeds for birds as well as used equipment for poultry management, killing and dressing, is abolished since 15 July 2009.
At the same time, the directive of Rosselkhoznadsor dated 6 August 2007 No. ФС-СД-2/7633 regarding temporary restrictions imposed due to the outbreak of the foot-and-mouth disease in Great Britain on the import from said country into the Russian Federation of pigs and wild hoofed animals as well as all kinds of products of animal origin produced from those animals, feeds for those animals, and used animal processing equipment, is abolished since 15 July 2009.
Due to complicated epizootic / epidemic situation in Great Britain with respect to the new influenza virus H1N1 the directive of Rosselkhoznadsor dated 5 May 2009 No. ФС-НВ-2/4204 regarding the import from Great Britain into the Russian Federation of live pigs, pork and products of treatment thereof which did not pass thermal treatment (the temperature of treatment must not be less than 80 °C, the time must not be less than 30 minutes) from the whole territory of Great Britain, remains in full force and effect.
